Condiciones laborales de los trabajadores informales ubicados en la Calle trece con carrera novena del centro de la ciudad de Cali

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer las percepciones que sobre sus condiciones de trabajo tienen los trabajadores informales ubicados en la calle trece con carrera novena del centro de la ciudad de Cali. La metodología que se implementó para lograr dar cumplimiento con estos objetivos fue la investigación mixta, con un diseño interpretativo social de poder y el uso de encuestas y entrevistas semi-estructurada y complementaria como técnicas para la recolección de datos. En el análisis de datos se encontró que, en la población objetivo, los trabajadores informales ubicados en la calle trece con carrera novena son emprendedores informales, ya que son autónomos e independientes, trabajan vendiendo productos que pueden ser fabricados por su propia mano o que se adquieren a un menor precio para poder ofertarlos y de éstos generar ganancias que les pertenecerían únicamente a ellos pues no dependen de un jefe. Perciben que sus condiciones de trabajo son de baja calidad y precarias, pues se encuentran sin ningún tipo de protección dentro de su espacio laboral, expuestos a múltiples riesgos dentro del mismo; sin embargo, consideran al trabajo informal como una alternativa de ingresos que les permite subsistir y satisfacer sus necesidades básicas.

The objective of this investigation was to know the perceptions by informal workers about their working conditions. They are located on Calle 13th with Carrera 9th, in the center of the Cali city. The methodology implemented to achieve these objectives were: qualitative 7 research, this was designed with a social interpretation of power; and surveys and interviews - semi structured and complementary - for data collection. In the data analysis, it was found that our target population, the informal workers located on Calle 13th with Carrera 9th, are informal entrepreneurs, since they are autonomous and independent. They sell products made by themselves and products purchased at a lower price and then offer them at a higher price, thus, they generate profits that belong only to them because they do not depend on a boss. They perceive that their working conditions are of low quality and precarious because they are without any type of protection in their workplace. They know that they are exposed to multiple risks but they consider informal work as an income alternative that allows them to subsist and satisfy their basic needs
