El enfoque de la investigación fue mixto, el tipo de estudio fue descriptivo y el enfoque de la investigación deductivo, el objetivo principal fue la caracterización de los procesos del área, inicialmente se utilizaron herramientas de recolección de datos como la encuesta y la lista de chequeo, se establecieron los procesos principales del área, se identificó que los manuales de funciones que existían eran obsoletos y que algunos cargos no lo tenían, se hicieron diagramas de flujo de cada uno de los procesos, actualización y creación de los manuales de funciones y por último se diseñó un plan de acción para el mejoramiento de los inconvenientes encontrados.This project was carried out due to shortcomings found in the spare parts area of the company Autopacifico S.A. of the city of Cali, it is a company dedicated to the sale of automotive vehicles, spare parts and workshop service, but it was evident that in the last year the sales have been reduced, that the time used in the delivery of the spare parts must be optimized, lack of spare parts in some of the offices, the collaborators do not know the function manual.
