(www.uniajc.edu.co) La sede sur, ubicada en la Calle 25 #127-220, en la autopista Cali-Jamundí, se encuentra en un entorno urbano que preserva una valiosa biodiversidad de fauna y flora. Esta sede tiene su entorno enfocado al cuidado del medio ambiente el cual representa un escenario ideal para fomentar la conciencia ecológica en la comunidad universitaria. No obstante, el entorno enfrenta desafíos derivados de la urbanización acelerada y las actividades humanas cotidianas, lo que hace que la protección del medio ambiente se convierta en una prioridad para la institución. La responsabilidad social empresarial (RSE) de la UNIAJC, debe incluir no sólo iniciativas hacia la comunidad académica, sino también estrategias que garanticen la conservación del entorno natural de su campus. Al hacerlo, la institución puede convertirse en un modelo de buenas prácticas para otras entidades educativas en la región, integrando la sostenibilidad en sus operaciones y fortaleciendo su compromiso con el desarrollo sostenible. La preservación de la biodiversidad no sólo es responsabilidad de gobiernos y organizaciones especializadas, sino también de las instituciones educativas que forman a los futuros profesionales. La sede sur de la Institución Universitaria Antonio José Camacho puede convertirse en un referente de sostenibilidad para la región, con medidas que integren la protección de la biodiversidad con actividades académicas y operativas contribuyendo al bienestar de las futuras generaciones y consolidándose como un agente de cambio en la sociedad, bajo el gran evento COP16 en la Ciudad de Santiago de Cali en octubre de 2024. The corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the UNIAJC should include not only initiatives towards the academic community, but also strategies that guarantee the conservation of the natural environment of its campus. In doing so, the institution can become a model of good practice for other educational entities in the region, integrating sustainability into its operations and strengthening its commitment to sustainable development. Biodiversity preservation is not only the responsibility of governments and specialized organizations, but also of the educational institutions that train future professionals. The south campus of the Institución Universitaria Antonio José Camacho can become a benchmark of sustainability for the region, with measures that integrate biodiversity protection with academic and operational activities contributing to the welfare of future generations and consolidating itself as an agent of change in society, under the great COP16 event in the City of Santiago de Cali in October 2024.
