Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal, comprender los efectos psicosociales producidos por la transfobia, de la que han sido víctimas tres mujeres trans en Cali. Aplicando la Teoría Ecológica de Urie Bronfenbrenner, quien afirma que el entorno (microsistema, mesosistema, exosistema, macrosistema) en el que crecemos afecta el desarrollo integral del individuo, se analizaron las experiencias de vida de las mujeres en los diferentes microsistemas en los que han intentado construir su identidad de género. Se concluye que el fenómeno de la transfobia es transversal en el análisis, pues como veremos ha estado presente desde el primer momento en que la mujer trans inicia su proceso de reconocimiento y aceptación. Para el desarrollo de la investigación, se utilizó una metodología cualitativa, con un enfoque biográfico desde una línea narrativa; lo que posibilitó mayor acercamiento a las realidades de las mujeres y un análisis profundo de los efectos que la discriminación ha generado en sus proyectos de vida. Fue así como se logró comprender que el proceso de aceptación por el cual deben atravesar las mujeres transgénero en la ciudad, se ve altamente afectado por los actos transfobicos a los que se enfrentan y así vislumbrar que la lucha para la disminución de la discriminación hacia las mujeres transgénero requiere un mayor compromiso por parte de las instituciones del estado y la sociedad en general.

This research has like the main object, to understand the psychosocial effects produced by transphobia, which have been victims three trans women in Cali. Applying the ecological theory of Urie Bronfenbrenner, who states that the environment (mesosystem microsystem, exosystem macrosystem) in which we grow affects the integral development of the individual. We will analyze the life experiences of women in the different microsystems in which they have tried to construct their gender identity. The transphobia phenomenon will be transversal in the analysis, since as we will notice, it has been present since the first moment in which trans women begin their process of recognition and acceptance. For the research development, a qualitative methodology was used, with a narrative approach and a descriptive scope; that made possible a bigger closer to the realities of women, and a profound analysis of the effects that discrimination has generated in their life projects. Was like this how was achivied to understand, that the process of acceptance that transgender women must go through in the city is highly affected by the transphobic acts which they face, and thus, envision that the fight for the reduction of discrimination against transgender women requires a greater commitment by state institutions and society in general.
