Salud auditiva en la población de la Escuela de Aviación Militar (EMAVI), Cali-Colombia, para los años, 2017-2019

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como meta fundamental saber que personal está más expuesto al ruido dentro de las instalaciones en la fuerza aérea, lo que permite realizar un análisis claro y focalizado sobre lo que representa el ruido en algunos puestos de trabajo, el cual podemos definir como toda sensación desagradable o molesta para el oído o todo sonido no deseado. El ruido, es un estímulo que produce alteraciones en la vía auditiva, entre ellas la hipoacusia. La importancia regional y nacional de la Escuela Militar de Aviación en la formación de los futuros oficiales de la Fuerza Aérea Colombiana, y en función de la seguridad y apoyo a los departamentos del suroccidente colombiano; ha generado desde hace varios años que todo el sistema de transporte militar, de carga y transporte humanitario, la tenga como eje central de gran parte de la operación, funcionando como intercambiador y centro de conexiones de las operaciones militares del sur de Colombia. Identificando el ruido, como un factor importante de contaminación auditiva en la actividad laboral de la BAMFS. La herramienta utilizada para este estudio, fue la prueba “chi cuadrado” que se obtuvo sobre una base de datos en Excel donde se recopilaron variables como el sexo, edades, IMC. Se analizó y graficó dentro de los diferentes grupos que se formaron de los reportes de las valoraciones audiométricas realizadas al personal expuesto a ruido, durante los años 2017 - 2019, adicionalmente la comparación con la norma ISO 9612 norma técnica que permite medir la exposición al ruido, método que consta de un análisis de selección, para observar su estado auditivo, los cambios presentados en la población durante este tiempo y su relación con algunas variables socio demográficas; aportando resultados que contribuyen a la institución, en el fortalecimiento de los programas de conservación auditiva ya implementados, concluyendo que el ruido es el factor que más altera la vida cotidiana pero también es un grave problema de salud pública considerado como un tema prioritario, lo cual, se debe promover dentro del compromiso individual y colectivo

The fundamental goal of this study is to know which personnel are most exposed to noise within the facilities in the air force, which allows a clear and focused analysis of what noise represents in some jobs, which we can define as all unpleasant or annoying sensation to the ear or any unwanted sound. Noise is a stimulus that produces alterations in the auditory pathway, including hearing loss. The regional and national importance of the Military Aviation School in the training of future officers of the Colombian Air Force, and in terms of security and support to the departments of the southwest of Colombia; has generated for several years that the entire system of military transport, cargo and humanitarian transport, has it as the central axis of a large part of the operation, functioning as an interchange and connection center for the military operations of southern Colombia. Identifying noise as an important factor of noise pollution in the work activity of the BAMFS. The tool used for this study was the "chi square" test, which was obtained from an Excel database where variables such as sex, ages, and BMI were collected. It was analyzed and graphed within the different groups that were formed from the reports of the audiometric evaluations made to the personnel exposed to noise, during the years 2017 - 2019, additionally the comparison with the ISO 9612 technical standard that allows to measure the exposure to noise , a method that consists of a selection analysis, to observe their hearing status, the changes presented in the population during this time and their relationship with some socio-demographic variables; providing results that contribute to the institution, in the strengthening of the hearing conservation programs already implemented, concluding that noise is the factor that most alters daily life but is also a serious public health problem considered as a priority issue, which It must be promoted within individual and collective commitment
