Caracterización de estudiantes del instituto municipal de educación para el trabajo y desarrollo humano de Yumbo (IMETY) período 2017-2

Abstract

El presente documento es producto de un ejercicio de investigación, realizado en el Instituto Municipal de Educación para el Trabajo y Desarrollo Humano de Yumbo (IMETY),que se desarrolló con el apoyo de la Secretaría de Bienestar Social y Participación de la Alcaldía de Yumbo, por medio del Observatorio Social para la Paz, en cooperación con la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas de la Universidad Antonio José Camacho, en cabeza del grupo de investigación Anudamientos, quienes brindaron el apoyo para el levantamiento de la información, utilizada en el trabajo. La investigación buscó establecer las características sociodemográficas y económicas de los estudiantes inscritos en los Programas Técnicos Laborales por Competencias (PTLC) del IMETY en el municipio de Yumbo, Valle del Cauca. El texto realiza una descripción de las características sociodemográficas y económicas de los estudiantes de PTLC del IMETY, presentando su situación, a través del análisis de variables relacionadas. La investigación es de corte cuantitativo-descriptivo, e involucró la realización de un censo poblacional, aplicando la encuesta de caracterización a los estudiantes de los PTLC, en: Chef de cocina, Preparación física y entrenamiento deportivo, Confección en serie y manejo de máquinas industriales, Auxiliar contable y financiero, Logística empresarial y Servicios de belleza; matriculados en2017-2. El documento está dividido en seis apartados que dan cuenta del planteamiento y posterior desarrollo del proceso investigativo, así como de los resultados y conclusiones del estudio. El primer capítulo expone la fundamentación del problema de estudio y realiza un desarrollo progresivo de las diferentes etapas que fue recorriendo el proyecto; iniciando con la

12 identificación del objeto de estudio, especialmente aquel relacionado con el problema de investigación, los objetivos y justificación. El segundo capítulo, aborda diferentes sustentos teóricos conceptuales que fundamenta la investigación, el cual comprende los factores que se encuentran relacionados con los sujetos y la institución, comprendido desde aspectos sociodemográficos y económicos. El tercer apartado, desarrolla los aspectos contextuales de la investigación, proporcionando datos sobre el sitio donde se llevó a cabo el trabajo. Allí se ofrece información sobre el municipio de Yumbo, el instituto IMETY y los PTLC de la institución. El cuarto capítulo, presenta el diseño metodológico de la investigación, describiendo el método empleado, la población de referencia y mencionando los componentes y variables utilizadas. Allí también se presenta el instrumento utilizado para la recolección de información, así como algunas consideraciones éticas y metodológicas. El quinto y último capítulo, presenta los resultados, arrojados por la investigación; allí se realiza una descripción detallada de los datos obtenidos y se presenta un análisis de las diferentes variables estudiadas, en relación con los dos componentes abordados. Para terminar, el último apartado presenta las conclusiones y recomendaciones arrojadas por la investigación.

This document is the product of a research exercise carried out in the Municipal Institute of Education for Work and Human Development of Yumbo (IMETY), which was developed with the support of the Secretary of Social Welfare and Participation of the Yumbo City Hall, through the Social Observatory for Peace, in cooperation with the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidad Antonio José Camacho, headed by the research group Anudamientos, who provided support for the collection of the information used in the work. The research sought to establish the sociodemographic and economic characteristics of the students enrolled in the Technical Competencies Labor Programs (PTLC) of the IMETY in the municipality of Yumbo, Valle del Cauca. The text provides a description of the socio-demographic and economic characteristics of IMETY students, presenting their situation through the analysis of related variables. The research is quantitative-descriptive and involved the realization of a population census, applying the characterization survey to the PTLC students in:Chef de kitchen, Physical preparation and sports training, Serial manufacturing and handling of industrial machines, Accounting assistant and Financial, Business Logistics and Beauty Services; enrolled in 2017-2. The document is presented into six sections that explain the approach and subsequent development of the research process, as well as the results and conclusions of the study. The first chapter, shows the object of this research, based on a social problem and performs a of the study problem and performs a progressive development of the different stages that the project was going through; starting with the identification of the object of study especially that related to the research problem, the objectives and justification.

14 The second chapter, addresses different theoretical conceptual underpinnings that underlie the research, which includes the factors that are related to the subjects and the institution, including sociodemographic and economic aspects.

The third section, develops the contextual aspects of the research, providing data on the site where the work was carried out. There, information is offered about the municipality of Yumbo, the IMETY institute and the PTLC of the institution.

The fourth chapter, presents the methodological design of the research, describing the method used, the reference population and mentioning the components and variables used. There is also presented the instrument used for the collection of information, as well as some ethical and methodological considerations.

The fifth and last chapter, presents the results, thrown by the investigation; there a detailed description of the obtained data is made and an analysis of the different variables studied is presented in relation to the two components addressed. Finally, the last section presents the conclusions and recommendations of the investigation.
